To make even the longest journey in the S-Class an experience to savour, we’ve made further improvements to the optional multicontour seats. In addition to the air chambers in the lumbar region of the backrest, you can now also adjust the shoulder region of the backrest, along with the side bolsters, to make the seat fit you like a glove. The individual zones can be precisely adjusted using the COMAND control and display system. In the S 600 and S 65 AMG (optional extra in other models) the NECK-PRO luxury head restraints with two flexible, individually adjustable side bolsters provide for especially good lateral support.

The multicontour seats also feature a PRE-SAFE® positioning function. In critical driving situations, the seats return to the optimum position and the air chambers are filled, providing stabilising, protective cushioning for the seat occupant.

The optional active multicontour seat with massage and dynamic function[1] also features individual adjustment, and the side bolsters of the seatback, and now of the seat cushion too, are filled with air on bends – making for an enjoyable ride on even the most winding of roads.

Once you’re comfortably seated you can relax and enjoy the massage function: the seven massage chambers and four different modes deliver a rolling movement which is designed to stimulate the muscles of the back. It is also a feature of the optional multicontour rear seats with massage function (standard equipment in S 600 and S 65 AMG[1]).
