To enhance ergonomic qualities and overall comfort and safety, we have further developed the COMAND management and display system. The COMAND display, a high-resolution 8-inch TFT color monitor, is now located next to the instrument cluster and is even closer to your field of vision.

The system is operated using the COMAND controller – a pressure controller and rotary control switch positioned at the end of the armrest. It provides access to the COMAND menus, in which you can change the settings for anything from automatic climate control to the multi-contour seats and ambient lighting. The COMAND function keys are used to directly operate the audio systems, telephone, navigation system and seat settings. They are located in front of the COMAND controller.

Accessories available through the accessories programme make it possible for you to connect your iPod® to the audio system via Interface Kit. This way you can choose your favourite music comfortably, with the multifunction steering wheel and the multifunction display.

Mercedes-Benz is the world’s first car maker to offer automatic parking guidance with radar-based measurement of the parking space. This system recognises the length of a parking space when driving past, and shows it on the multifunction display as a symbolic representation. A blue icon indicates that the space is large enough.
